SCHOOL OPENED IN BENIN.

In May 2023, groundbreaking talks took place in Benin when representatives of the German Embassy discussed education initiatives with local NGO representatives from the Za-Kpota region. This dedicated group, supported by the German Embassy, gave an impressive outline of their educational activities to date.

The fruits of this collaboration were now visible when a cooperation agreement was reached to enable the construction of a school in Za-Kpota in 2024. The initiative was supported in Hamburg by the Fly and Help Foundation and AIDA Cruises, which came on board as co-financiers. The Hamburg-based association Ossara e.V. was brought on board as an experienced project partner for African development projects.

Construction work began on December 28, 2023 and was completed in a record-breaking 16 weeks, including the construction of the school, a well and sanitary facilities.

THE GRAND OPENING OF THE SCHOOL TOOK PLACE IN APRIL 2024.

Hundreds of children now have access to this modern educational facility, paving the way for a promising future. The organizations involved would like to thank all partners for their generous support.
